On May 10th 2013 the York County Sheriff’s Office added a second service dog, Captain Dargo, to the K-9 Division. Captain Dargo is a purebred German Shepard from Czechoslovakia trained primarily in the detection of explosives. Lt. David Godfrey (handler) and Captain Dargo attended training at Von Der Haus Gill German Shepherd Training Academy in Wapakoneta, Ohio. The purchase and training of Captain Dargo was funded by a contribution from “Think Loud LLC” which is affiliated with the band “Live”.
