Young Ranch

Established in 1912, by Francis (Frank) Marion Young Sr., and branded the YY Ranch,(Shadow Y), being his second ranch of purchase. Becoming a centurion ranch, it is currently the Lee Young ranch, and a working cattle ranch. Mr Young is the 3rd generation legacy. There are currently 6 generations living on the original ranch. The YY has been replaced with a simple Y brand for cattle. The headwaters of the Washita River occupy this place, as does the General Miles Headquarters historical granite marker. The Young family originated from Armuchee, Georgia in the late 1800s.
