The Youth Crisis Center, LLC....previously known as the Youth Crisis Shelter, Inc...was created in 1981, as a private non-profit corporation, with the capacity to serve 17 boys at one time in two locations. Y.C.S. has served approximately 190 children and adolescents each year since its inception.
In July 2012, Y.C.S was purchased by Earnest Moreland and is now known as the YOUTH CRISIS CENTER, LLC. This has been very exciting for both the Center & the community of Parsons, KS.

The Youth Crisis Center, LLC has the capacity to house 17 boys at a time, ages 6 years old and older.

Y.C.C. is licensed through JJA as a YRC II facility. In ADDITION to being a long term placement for non-violent juvenile offenders, the "Center" is also licensed through KDHE and SRS as a shelter/temporary care facility and serves NEGLECTED & ABUSED children & adolescents ages 6 years and older, as a temporary home to give case workers time to evaluate a child's sitation and make appropriate long term placement.
Licensing: The Youth Crisis Center, LLC. is licensed to provide services by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Social, & Rehabilitation Services and Juvenile Justice Authority.
