Youth on Record empowers Colorado’s underserved youth to achieve their academic, artistic, and personal best by employing local, professional artists as their educators.

Our Commitment

We are committed to ensuring that the youth we serve graduate from high school and are ready to enter the workforce, and transition to college or enter advanced technical training and careers. Our programs empower 1,000 teens in some of Denver’s most vulnerable communities to make life choices that positively impact their future by teaching them to develop the coping tools, inspiration, and wherewithal to succeed in today’s world and to become leaders of tomorrow.

In partnership with The Denver Housing Authority, Youth on Record broke ground on a Youth Media Studio (YMS) in the La Alma/Lincoln Park Neighborhood of Denver in April 2012. Upon completion in August 2013, the YMS will open its doors as an innovative, experiential resource for students in Denver Public Schools, young people in youth residential treatment centers, and classrooms across the globe. Outfitted with cutting-edge technology, the YMS will serve as a centralized location for digital arts-based programming for at-risk youth in Colorado, and will connect local youth to students around the world in a state-of-the-art global classroom. To date, we have raised $915,000.00 of our $3M campaign goal.
