The history of coffee came along with a family history.
Founded in 1929 by Vito Zichittella, a lover of the art of coffee, who created a small coffee roasting factory in Marsala. It was so successful that he soon started selling his coffee outside the province. He was said to have a secret which made his blends so aromatic and frothy.
Soon his blends were sold all around western Sicily under the name of Zicaffè. The firm became a limited company in 1970 and enlarged its distribution area, first national and late international.
In 80 years the generations of the Zichittella family have continued to give the company the same impulse as its founder.
Today the factory in Marsala has a covered surface of 7,500 square metres set in grounds of 50,000 square metres.
The distribution of Zicaffè products starts in Sicily, covers many Italian regions and European countries and is present in all five continents, also through partnership with important international groups.
