Town meets country in a fitting professional match as Teddy Zimmerman and Laura Farrell combine experience to establish a new real estate partnership at Middleburg Real Estate.

Few real estate professionals can boast of deeper roots than Zimmerman, a fifth-generation local. With a father who is the joint-Master of the Piedmont Fox Hounds and a mother known as the “pied piper of Piedmont,” Zimmerman hails from a long line of foxhunters and horseman and therefore knows the local dirt roads, hills, coops, and trails as well as anyone.

An alumni of the Hill School, Woodberry Forest School and Hampden-Sydney College (near Hollins University, where his wife Lucy graduated), Zimmerman is entirely in his element in Virginia country sports, farm life and, the local real estate environment he has come to know and represent. Teddy closed over $5M in sales this year.

When Laura Farrell moved to a family thoroughbred farm in the Orange County Hunt while her husband launched a DC investment fund, she brought an extensive background in closing complex real estate transactions.

Prior to making Virginia horse country home, Farrell was a top producing agent selling over $10M a year for multiple years in Bucks County, PA with a strong (often equestrian) client base from New York and Philadelphia. Farrell also brings the noteworthy experience of selling properties in Manhattan for Brown Harris Stevens.

Farrell is a member of an international real estate federation based in France, has real estate licenses in PA, NJ, NY, and VA and a degree in civil/environmental engineering. With an equal love for the equestrian lifestyle, she trains in dressage and enjoys riding foxhunters with her sister.
