In 2012 Julie Hollars, Shawna Davis, Bobby Bettger and I sat at Sidewinders restaurant in downtown Angels Camp reminiscing about the old Automotive Body Shop across the street; the current location for Stories and Stones. We talked about how our Dads restored old cars when we were growing up...and from this conversation came the dream for the Angels Camp Body Shop. A play on words and the meaning of rebuilding, restoring, and reconditioning a "body".
This dream grew even stronger as my frustration in community fitness studios grew. I have had the opportunity to teach aerobic classes in some of the most beautiful studios in the world. Yet these studios were not available to so many people that were really wanting to move their bodies. The facilities available to this demographic very often were on cement floors, no mirrors and little or no way to control the temperature of a classroom. All of which make for unsafe and just not very fun workout conditions.
The Angels Camp Body Shop...a Fitness and Training Studio strives to provide a safe, challenging but most of all FUN atmosphere to work out in. Offering a variety of classes for all fitness levels while keeping the price of your work out affordable.
