At ART PLAY, we introduce the concept that ART and visual expression should feel effortless. Not because it doesn’t require work, but because it is aligned with who we are, so it feels like exploring... like PLAYING.
As we grow up, we start putting limitations upon ourselves, and start thinking that making ART is beyond our reach. Some tend to think that they need to be good at drawing to be able to create something that resembles reality. Basically, we limit our definitition of what ART is.
ART PLAY is all about hands-on exploration of mixed media, acrylic, and collage. We encourage our students at a young age to unleash their creativity, so that they can start creating visual worlds of their
own imagination.
Our classes meet weekly at Jesse Lee Memorial Methodist Church, 207 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT. — Wesley Hall, room 207. Age groups: 4 to 5, 6 to 8, and 9 to 12. Older kids welcome.
