Arthenia Newburn Ministries

Arthenia M. Newburn was born and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She received salvation in 1976, stands firm in the proclamation that she is still in love with Jesus, and has a passion for the word of God. She is a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois where Dr. Kerry L. Newburn is the pastor. She presently serves in many aspects of ministry including teaching Wednesday Night Women’s Bible Class and Sunday School; and is active in ministry within the community, praying for the sick and ministering to those in need.

God in His wonderful way of doing things has given her the privilege of sharing the Word as instructor and speaker for a variety of workshops, conferences, and retreats. She believes that it is a real joy “to know that Jesus is mine, but it is an even greater joy to share Him with others”. She has also served as instructor for the Ministers Wives’ Division in the Rockford and Vicinity District Association, and Class Instructor at the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education.

Evangelist Newburn has been married for 38 years to Dr. Kerry L. Newburn; and she is mother to three sons and one daughter. One of her favorite passages of scripture in the Bible is “For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified”. – 1 Corinthians 2:2
