Worship Information:

We have three distinct worship services on Sunday mornings.
8 am River Worship is contemplative in nature and includes scripture, centering music, a chant choir, weekly communion, meditative prayer, and a pastoral message. This service is held in the chapel.

9 am Roots Worship includes scripture, hymns, choral music, and a pastoral message. This service may feel familiar as it includes acolytes, candles, and the pastors and the choir in robes. The sacrament of communion is observed the first Sunday of every month. Roots worship is held in the sanctuary.

10:30 Wings Worship features a more relaxed feel with an emphasis on scripture, acoustic ensemble music, and visual images that connect to the pastoral message. As with the Roots service, communion is served the first Sunday of every month. Wings worship is held in the sanctuary.

8 am River Service - 45 minutes
9 am Roots and 10:30 Wings Services - 60 minutes
Coffee Time - Between our 9:00 am & 10:30 am worship: Join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee, cookies, and conversation.
Sunday Morning Faith Formation
o Children’s Church is offered for ages three years through the 6th grade at 9 and 10:30 am. Children attend the first part of worship with their families and are then dismissed to attend Children’s church.
o Youth Sunday School is offered during the 10:30 service time in the Youth Room.
o Adult Classes are available at 8, 9 and 10:30. Please see the listing on page one of this website.

Family Room and Childcare
We welcome children of all ages to attend the worship service, but if your children become restless and you would prefer a quiet place for them to play, there is a family room available with a view and audio feed of the service in the back left of the sanctuary. The family room has a bathroom as well as toys and other distractions for young children.

Childcare is available at the 9 am and 10:30 am services in our nursery for children age six months to three years. Nursery staff members are experienced and friendly. The nursery also offers pagers to parents in case they are needed during the service.
Safe Sanctuaries

Bothell UMC is a safe sanctuary church. Our procedures include background checks for employed and volunteer staff, preventative education, and proper response to disclosures of abuse.
