Buffalo River Elk Festival

Held annually the last full weekend of June, this award winning festival celebrates the successful reintroduction of elk to Newton County, and celebrates, as well, the quaint, creative community of Jasper. Jasper is nestled in a magnificent setting in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, near the world famous Buffalo National River on Arkansas’ Scenic Byway 7. Come join us as this unique town transforms its downtown area into a lively festival grounds with activities for folks of all ages.
