We are a church committed to participating in God’s work of Mission, Redemption, and Community. We invite you to join us on the journey.

Participating in Mission (Proclamation of the Gospel)
A church that is “on mission” or missional is one that recognizes itself as God’s missionaries to the people they live among, participating in the mission of God. This means we do not see ourselves merely as those who send missionaries to other countries, but as missionaries ourselves to the greater Schaumburg area and northwest suburbs of Chicago in the twenty-first century. We are looking for ways to serve our community by proclaiming the gospel in word and deed, sharing and showing the love of Jesus and his work at the cross. We are ambassadors of the King, calling others to follow Jesus.

Participating in Redemption (Application of the Gospel)
To redeem something is to buy something back. God is bringing the world back under his rule and reign, free from the dominion of sin and Satan. The gospel needs applied to each aspect of our lives needs to be redeemed and subject to the transformative and loving leadership of Jesus. This includes our homes, communities, and work, as well as art, music, literature, science, and education. As we follow Jesus by taking up our cross and denying ourselves, we can participate in a new, redemptive, and transformative way of living by loving God and loving others.

Participating in Community (Identification with the Gospel)
God is calling us into a community of other believers where we can identify with the gospel. In this community we nurture and prod one another along in the activity of mission and redemption, stirring one another to love and good works. The world should see a community of people in love with Jesus and each other – loving one another, sharing with one another, caring for one another, encouraging one another, helping one another, teaching one another, if necessary correcting one another, and bearing one another’s burdens. Our church should be a place where people see the reality of the Kingdom of God.
