Cape Coral Police Explorer Post #465

To become a member of the Cape Coral Police Department Explorer Post, #465 an individual must meet the following requirements:

- An Explorer must have completed the eighth grade, and not have graduated from high school.
- An Explorer must be a full-time student.
- An Explorer must be between the ages of 14 and 21. An Explorer must resign from the Post upon reaching his/her 19th birthday unless they are actively continuing their education and enrolled as a full time student
- Have at least a "C" average (2.0 unweighted on a 4.0 scale with no grade of “F” in any classes)
- Attend three consecutive meetings.
- Complete the Explorer application phase.
- Applicant must not have any Felony or Misdemeanor arrests.
- Pass oral interview by Post Advisors.
- Be able to provide their own transportation to Post events. (The Explorer is always responsible for transportation; however the Post will provide transportation when possible).
- Be mentally and physically able to perform the duties required of an Explorer.
