David O'Farrell for Friendswood City Council

I feel blessed to have been a resident of Friendswood since birth, except while away earning a degree in business and another in theology. Watching our city grow from a sleepy little farming community of 600 to the bustling urban sanctuary of today is an honor I treasure. Over the last 61 years, it has been my privilege to attend Friendswood's schools, play on its athletic fields, worship in its churches, nurture a family here with my wife Lori (Chris, Ryan, Katie), enjoy a fantastic career, and be shaped by our community's values. Friendswood is a special place. If you live here you know that, and my commitment to our city is absolute.

As an adult I've sought to give back to Friendswood by coaching dozens of its youth sports teams, working in its churches, and for the last 10 years planning its future as Planning and Zoning Commissioner/Chairman. With the encouragement of my family and a great number of friends, I have decided to run for city council this May. If elected, my first priority will be to keep Friendswood the special place it has always been while promoting its next steps forward out of an understanding of its values and past.
