Down Memory Lane

Established in 1980 at 715 Carroll Street in Boone, Iowa as "MEMORY LANE", we began as a country gift and candy shop next to Mamie Eisenhower's birthplace. It started in two rooms of the house shown in the graphic and has expanded over the years to seven rooms full of country gifts, nostalgic items, craft patterns, 100's of bolts of fabric, specialty candy, wall hangings, lamps and many, many things country.

By the end of the first year in business, I had designed and published my first pattern, ML-18, "Country Heart Rag Wreath". Thus began "DOWN MEMORY LANE", a country pattern business that is currently offering patterns and kits numbered in the 200's! DOWN MEMORY LANE prides itself in providing sewers and crafters with a product that combines quality, uniqueness and simplicity.

We closed our shop in Boone in July of 2001 and have gone strictly to Mail Order and Online Shopping. We take orders by phone, fax, mail and online. All of our Patterns and Kits and many Country Gift items are still available, just not at our store!
