The Pro USA, also known as the self-proclaimed People's Republic of the United States of America, is a micronation, founded by Alan Zhu and headquartered from a school and his home both within Rapid City, South Dakota. The Pro USA has claimed itself a nation within the United States, however it is not officially recognized as a country by the United Nations nor any major powers.It consists of Southwest Middle School (known as the Oppresor), within South Dakota, and two houses established as part of the Constitutional Citizenship Process. Originally established as a joke on January 5th of 2015, The ProUSA subsequently evolved into a territorial entity with the writing of a 16 page Constitution finished on January 23rd.The name People's Republic of the United States of America is derived from the heritage and current existence of the creator, namely China and the United States respectively.HistoryOn January 5th, 2015, Alan Zhu created the People's Republic of the United States of America as a Declaration of Independence to protest against what he though was tyranny within public schools.On January 23rd, 2015, Alan Zhu finished a 16-page Constitution which officially declared and established a government for the nation.On February 3rd, 2015, the first bill within the writing of the Constitution was passed by the Congress originating in the House of IQ 120+ and declared an annexation of Southwest Middle School.
