Fish Tail Inn in Sargent TX has something for everyone! For those beachcombers and sun worshipers we are only 1.2 miles from 17 miles of unmanicured beach that is still legal to drive on provided you buy a beach permit, stay off the dunes, and below the high tide mark. We have plenty of parking for boat trailers. We have 150' dock for fisherman to leave their boats in the protected waters of our boat canal overnight. With our 150' dock shore fishermen can fish day or night. During those winter months East Matagorda Bay provides excellent duck hunting for hunters. During the bird migratory months Matagorda County is one of the best bird watching areas in the Nation.
