Forthright is a cafe with a leafy patio just south of Cesar Chavez and Brazos; a quiet cul-de-sac by Ladybird Lake where the street ends.

We make honest food from scratch, prepared well, using quality ingredients. In the morning we pour Sightglass coffee. At happy hour we stir no-fuss cocktails. Enjoy avocado toast with poached eggs for breakfast, a kale Caesar salad at lunch or slow roasted pork belly for dinner. You know this menu.

Tall windows, natural light, sturdy chairs, plenty of shade... a place for a read. We’re from here, we felt like downtown Austin deserved something ‘easy’ again.
