Hope Full Life Center Inc.

Food. Clothing. Furniture and home decor. Hope Full Life Center was created to help struggling people fill basic needs so they have a fighting chance to reach their full potential.

The charity got its start in 2010 with a food assistance program, christened Helping Harvest. The program serves people living below USDA guidelines for poverty. Our customers are able to select groceries and make a small donation for purchases to support the store. Helping Harvest's goal is to fill in the gaps the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) does not cover and provide reprieve from full retail prices for additional food and other necessities.

With more than 350 families currently on its membership rolls, Helping Harvest has helped to feed more than 1,000 people in Ravena and the surrounding communities.

In 2010 and 2011 came our gently used clothing store, Gracefully Chic Boutique, and our second-hand furniture and home decor store, Peace of Home. Families struggling to make ends meet can shop with dignity at these two stores, housed in one unique space.

Donation-based, both the clothing and home furnishings store recycle and repurpose what others in our community no longer need. Cleaned and neatly presented, our customers pay a fraction of regular retail prices.

Our next program - Cross Culture Market - was born in 2012. In our global economy we couldn't turn a blind eye to our neighbors struggling in developing nations. We wanted to create an economic development initiative that would feed, clothe and provide other necessities to aid the needy abroad just as we do right here in Ravena.

Working with Christian missionaries and humanitarian organizations we purchase hand-made crafts from native artisans and sell them in our store and online at www.crossculturemarket.org. Cross Culture Market is a small gift store now, but we have big dreams of providing business education and seed money to drive economic development in places where hunger, disease and other symptoms of poverty are rampant.

Incorporated as a not-for-profit in 2012, Hope Full Life Center is affiliated with Abounding Love Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational church, also located in Faith Plaza in Ravena. We are God-inspired and continue to seek His guidance for our direction and growth.
