About John
John J. Rooney got his start right here in central Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida and went on to receive a Masters of Business Administration at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. He then went on to work for a local real estate development company, until the company folded in the midst of the housing recession. After passing the CPA exam, he began working for a CPA firm in southern Maryland. On a personal note, he got married in 2011 and the couple welcomed a first daughter into the world the following year.
A few years later he moved to Charlotte North Carolina, with his now wife, and began working for another CPA firm. He enjoyed his years in the Carolina’s but missed the Orlando weather, in the winter, as well as the abundance of activities he once enjoyed.
After learning about the conception of a second daughter, the family decided to move back to central Florida; where it could utilize the assistance of the children’s grandparents, aunt, and cousins. He loves the area and diversity of business he has the opportunity with which to work. He sees himself as an advisor and partner to his clients, rather than a separate entity.
