Every TitleTracs investigation done so far has uncovered events that occurred behind the scenes of everyday people who thought everything was fine. They were not in foreclosure, paid their mortgage every month and have a title policy. However, they have no idea what their lender did with their Note behind the scenes and almost all of them were sold off to investors during securitization. It is common practice but it's also where all the problems start.

Lenders used fraudulent documentation, robosigners (minimum wage workers who sign fictitious names as bank VPs on legal documents), re-created “originals” because the real ones were destroyed by law to meet the requirements of the mortgage-backed security the loan was put into. And they recorded it all in county land records all across America!
