Healing Light Therapy, a.k.a. advanced color therapy, is a spiritual treatment that uses colored light beams focused at your chakras. As you lie on a bed with your eyes closed and meditate with relaxing music, alternating lights produce a balancing effect on your body's energy system.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word for "wheel" and refers to the seven energy centers in the body. The chakras are aligned in an ascending column from the base of the spine to the top of the head. The chakras spin and draw in the life force energy to keep the physical body in balance.

The crystal bed has its origin in the healing work done by John of God, of the Casa de Dom Inacio in Abadiania, Brazil. Designed by the healing Spirits who work with him, the crystal bed serves as an outreach and continuation of their healing work.

A session on the crystal bed lasts from 20 to 40 minutes. As the person rests face up with eyes closed he / she is bathed in the light energy of the crystals. Seven colored lights correspond to the seven chakras. Light and color shine through each crystal creating a spiraling amplification of vital energy.

Crystals are capable of transmitting, storing, and modulating energy. The quartz is a tool for using light and energy in a specific way. Healers use crystals to regulate the vibrations of the water content of our body found in our cells and tissues. Healing is optimal when the body's vibrations are in balance.

After you crystal therapy, you can take advantage of an additional 20 minutes of Reiki energy. Again, lying face up on the massage table, or bed, Kathy facilitates the flow of Reiki's healing energy to and through you. Tapping into this divinely guided energy, she moves her hands over your body allowing this universal energy to pass through her into you and back out into the world. Reiki energy heals both the practitioner and the recipient. Recipients often claim to feel warmth or heat emanating from the healer's hands.
