I'm Kimberly. I live in Tidewater, Virginia. I am a mother to Anna Cait and John, as well as our black labs, Tugboat and Holiday.
Being a mother has been the joy of my life and my proudest achievement.
I love children, animals, nature, and of course taking photographs. My favorite settings are outdoors, in natural light. This is why it makes perfect sense that I am enchanted by capturing images of children and their families interacting in natural settings.
Even after teaching preschool-aged children for 10 years, I am still captivated by the facial expression and the uninhibited emotion radiated by kids of all ages. Being able to seize a moment as intimate as a mother hugging her child or a daughter cradling her father's face is priceless.
A great deal of my portrait photography reflects my desire to do just that. I often zoom in tight, only capturing faces and focusing on the emotion in the subjects eyes. To be able to present these moments as forever memories is my passion.
