Kipuka

Kipuka is a unique and private property. Within it's enclosure are more than 5,000 palm trees representing over 350 different species, many of which are extremely rare. All of these are planted in a landscape of pure, black, volcanic cinder. Within this one-of-a-kind garden are four bamboo guest houses, a saline pool, and a traditional Hawaiian long house for events. Kipuka is often likened to a small Polynesian village.

We harvest the rain for our water and the sun for our electricity. But you wouldn't notice once you enter the private world of Kipuka. Our focus is on delivering as comfortable and luxurious a destination as possible.

We are located minutes away from the famous Champagne Ponds -- geothermally heated tidal pools where you can swim with fish and turtles in waters heated by the volcano. The volcano itself is just an hour by car, and the most recent lava flow viewing area is a 15-minute drive followed by a three-mile hike. There are many, many more things to experience out here.
