Owner Kristie Denham has been doing hair for 14 years in Lawrence and Kansas City. la Bella Vita Hair Studio began in a small space upstairs at 719 Mass and after 3 successful years at that location it was time for an expansion. The new salon location at 19th and Mass is a dream come true for Kristie. Many hours of hard work have gone into creating a beautiful salon space that combines the vintage charm of the location bridged with modern salon equipment. Still boasting a Mass Street address, only with free parking!

Kristie has Masters level training in European color, cutting techniques and hair extensions. She has worked on the Style Team for the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders, executed hair and makeup work for Fashion shows in Kansas City, like the Rock and Fashion Show, the Tony Bowls Fashion Show, and the Crush Magazine Fashion Show and magazine launch party. She has worked for Nordstrom doing hair for their Beauty Events, as well as worked with private photographers doing hair and makeup for photo shoots in studio and on location.
