Leesburg Oswego Preschool, Inc.

Our preschool was established in 1974 by a group of parents, business leaders in our community. We began meeting in the downstairs area of the local Leesburg United Methodist Church and several years later moved to the Oswego Lion's Building where we remained for many years. Due to the location/expense it was decided to move back to the Methodist church where we are now located.

The school is primarily ran by the parent's of the students and the teacher who all serve as board members.The purpose of this is to make sure parents are the ones making the decisions in regards to how the school operates. Parent's volunteer their time to assist in the classroom and aid the teacher in executing their daily curriculum. The schedule consist of creative play/social time to allow them to interact with their peers, library time; calendar, stories, music/instruments/rhythm, weekly numbers/letters/shapes/colors, daily academic lessons; letters, numbers, shapes, colors, sounds, various concepts (rhyming, etc.) and crafts. We begin each day with the "Pledge of Allegiance" and we say grace before our daily snack time.

We are partnered with the local Leesburg United Methodist Church and are located in their parsonage next to the church. We meet regularly with the pastor in the sanctuary for a brief bible study and prayer time.

Our primary goal is to equip and prepare our children in the best way possible in order for them to be ready to begin all day kindergarten.

Educating and loving our children is our daily focus and having fun along the way.

We visit local business and participate in various field trips throughout our community such as the fire station, post office and elementary school. In the fall we take a trip to the local pumpkin patch where we enjoy a scavenger hunt, hay ride and story time.
