Marsh Hen

Leland and Nancy Marshall and David and Cheryl Henderson founded Marsh Hen in 2016. Leland and David are retired individuals, who during their working days tinkered in their spare time with woodworking and restoration of vintage furniture and other interesting items. They are supported by their spouses, Nancy Marshall and Cheryl Henderson, who are both very talented individuals in their own right. Nancy is known for turning junk into treasure, constantly providing us with new ideas, and Cheryl is a very accomplished photographer. Her photographs illustrate our products and advertising. She has also become our Annie Sloan expert.

Over the years we have been asked by friends and relatives to create items that are interesting and hard to find. Our work was displayed around our homes and people were always asking if we would build them something.

Both Leland and David had a large business network of people in their years of employment and many of these people have encouraged us to offer our creations for sale in our retirement years because they recognized the quality and uniqueness of our craftsmanship. In January of 2016 we decided to try it out and created Marsh Hen.

We hope you like what we do, as we do it out of enjoyment rather than need. We have since moved to Preservation Station in West Louisville Kentucky and strive to provide an interesting display of unique items from the past.
