Among the History of the Lair Hill neighborhood your private suite resides in a daylit basement which is charming and quiet. The room has a microwave, mini fridge and a coffee maker with coffee provided. There is no stove but everything else you would need to make a meal. The room also has access to a washing machine and dryer if needed during your stay. We have also provided extra blankets in the closet and have more if necessary. Our neighborhood has easy street parking in case you have a rental car.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the bottom floor of our home with a separate entrance for additional privacy.

We are happy to help with anything that is needed during your stay.

Getting Around

Access to major bus lines, and walkable to downtown, Portland State University, NCNM, and the entire waterfront loop.

Pedestrian bridge to the Portland Streetcar (all-town access). Bus stops within two blocks for the 9, 17, 19, and 43. Less than 6 blocks to access the 12 and 56 lines.

The bus stop is 2 blocks from house at (Swan Market) will take you into the city center (10 minute ride). Public transit route information is available online at TriMet.

Just a five minute walk over the pedestrian bridge to South Water Front District and the street car, OHSU tram & the heart of the waterfront urban district, where you can find local coffee shops, bakeries, pubs, a selection of restaurants, food carts (including a beer garden) and farmers market on Thursday evenings. Check the calender to make sure its going on...

Visiting OHSU? Walk over the Gibbs Street bridge to the tram or simply walk/drive directly uphill to the hospital and campus. Either direction, a safe paved route is available and very fast.

Guest Access

Private Outside entrance to come and go. Street parking and a permit given if its during the week. Otherwise you can park anywhere on the weekends.

Interaction with Guests

The owners live on property and can help you with any issues or travel plans you have.
Check-in is after 3PM
Key location will be sent to guest.

Treat the space as if it was your own. We love hosting and love our home.

Recycle and Conserve when possible. All left over food goes to a food bank.

The Neighborhood

- please keep noise outdoors to a minimum
- quiet hours are 11pm-6am
- permissible parking areas are clearly marked: No PARKING w/out a permit during the week. We will provide one. PARKING is non permit for weekends. Bus stop across the street to take you downtown.

Getting Around

Great location! Gorgeous river view (Willamette) near Sellwood and downtown.
Walk:
*OHSU (1.5+mile ...approx. 10-minute walk)
OHSU's Main hospital is where you can catch the SkyTram ($4) which takes you to the South Waterfront/Restaurants/Great Path to run/walk along the Willamette River or Catch a streetcar into town.
*Bus or Bike 1 mile into Hillsdale...restaurants, coffee house, grocery.
*Walking Trails....all over the hill and down to the Willamette River
*Walk up to Council Crest Park to see a bird's eye view of downtown and Eastside Portland

Intel: 15-20 mins
Lake Oswego/Tigard: 15-mins

Access.
Located near the I-5 Corbett Street exit, there is easy access to I-5, HWY 26, I-405 and I-84. This also means we’re just minutes by bike, bus or car from:
- Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU);
- The National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM);
- Portland State University (PSU);
- Downtown Portland; and
- University of Oregon (UO) Portland Campus.

In addition, public transportation is close by, with access to stops serving eight major bus lines.

- Riverfront walking/ biking path and pedestrian walking bridge.
- Close to Max Light rail which reaches into the outer parts of Portland and there is a bus right in front of the house.
