Rock Spring Lego League

Rock Spring Lego League is about to begin again this year! Thanks to the PTO, we have three FLL teams!!!

A review of last season, we saw our Blue Road Runners qualify for Regionals. We had our very first Robot Scrimmage in October and we had our very first Lego League Expo in March. We are building on that success and will again have the Robot Scrimmage in October and the Rock Spring Expo in March. Click on those links to learn more information. We will have 5 Junior Lego League teams again this season. Try outs information will be posted here and sent home with the students during the correct time. Due to having 3 FLL teams, we must move the work days of the Junior FLL teams until January. The FLL teams need two full days in the Lego Room so the Junior FLL will not start until after the semester break.

FIRST Lego League (fourth and fifth grade students) will have try outs on August 20th. Letters will go home with all fourth and fifth graders on August 13th telling about this club. The Teams begin on August 23rd from 2:30 until 3:45 with team building activities and robot teaming. This year’s Challenge is based on Senior Solutions. FLL meets on both Mondays and Thursday.

Junior FIRST Lego League (second and third grade students) will have try outs on December 18th and 19th. Letters will go home with all second and third graders on December 4th telling about this club. These teams will meet on Thursday beginning on January 10th from 2:30 until 3:45. This year’s Challenge is based on Super Seniors.
