">SouthGate is FSU's most well known freshman experience, immersing students in all traditions of Florida State from Day One! In fact, many students enjoy the freshman experience so much, they stay with us into the second year in the dorm, or in our student apartments known as the Lofts. Serving not only FSU, but also TCC and FAMU, SouthGate provides the most diverse and enjoyable college experience in Tallahassee.

Located right on Sorority Row and across form FSU's historic east side residence halls, "SouthGate is Where It All Begins." At SouthGate, students get the best of Florida State's campus environment and develop friendships they will take with them for the rest of their college career and lifetime.

With a top notch dining facility, state-of-the-art fitness complex, a Ballroom equipped with satellite television and the latest in gaming equipment, and spacious rooms, SouthGate is more than just a typical residence hall, "It is home away from home!" Oh, and did we add, that each room has their own private bathroom, so no worries about community-style facilities typical in many on-campus locations.
