Tabor Lutheran Church

Tabor Church's story is a rich one, filled with over 125 years of ministry to people who live in the shoreline communities of South Central Connecticut. Tabor is a wonderful, unique place. We are named after a mountain in the Holy Land where, tradition has it, the Transfiguration of Christ occurred. Even as Jesus was transformed in the light of God before his disciples on Mount Tabor, God transforms individuals at Tabor Church through God's Word and the Sacraments and through a loving, supportive community. Our witness to Christ includes diverse ministry programs and community activities. We're a church on the move! Our community programs range from the Tabor Christian Community Preschool to our mission partnership with Resurrection Lutheran Church in New Haven, CT. Tabor Church proclaims God's love as FUN: Forever, Unconditional and Nurturing. We strive to serve rather than to be served.
