Unpretentious 222 Hyde [The Basement] had a long and storied musical past that started in the 1940′s as the Three Deuces club. The world famous Black Hawk Jazz Club was right next door on the corner of Turk & Hyde. The Three Deuces [The Basement] served as a sort of VIP hangout for jazz legends such as Miles Davis and John Coltrane when they performed at Black Hawk. - Shannon Stevenson
