The Frances Project was started when local 4Hers learned that dolls in nursing homes were increasing the quality of life for residents with dementia. Residents who are given baby dolls feel useful again, in a confusing and often depressing world, by "caring" for a baby doll. Residents with dolls are often found rocking, feeding, and hugging their dolls. Local 4Hers are answering the call to lend a hand to dementia patients by collecting, cleaning, distributing, and fundraising for used or new dolls. We are collecting dolls, baby clothes, newborn diapers, bottles, baby blankets, and small toys. Please help us in this mission of LOVE.
