TRADE WINDS CONSIGNMENT POLICY

Thank you for consigning with us! To make this a smooth and rewarding experience we ask that you please follow these simple guidelines to help us serve you better.

-We accept consignment items every day, but you are limited to submitting 20 items per week. Items will be checked immediately upon arrival. You are responsible for taking back any unaccepted items. We accept but are not totally limited to seasonal women’s, men’s, & children’s clothing, shoes, & accessories in all shapes & sizes, home decor, furniture, toys, games, & baby needs. PLEASE NO UNDERWEAR, BRAS, ELECTRONICS OR APPLIANCES

-We only accept items we think we can sell in our store. No odors, stains, holes, or tears. Items must be in CLEAN, NEW, or GENTLY USED CONDITION. THINK SEASONALLY!

-(***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!***) WE CHOOSE THE PRICE. Your items will be priced accordingly after hours. We will do our best to list a fair price based on our research or knowlege of the items. Regular consignment items will sell at full price for 60 days from the date of entry. After 60 days they will be marked down 50% for 60 more days. YOU GET 40% OF THE PRICE IT SOLD FOR. After 120 days, you may either reclaim your unsold items or THEY BECOME PROPERTY OF TRADE WINDS. We will either continue to sell it at a discounted price or donate it. You may reclaim any unsold items at any time within the 4120 day consignment period. It is YOUR responsibility to retrieve any unsold items from the racks or displays in the store, and bring them to the clerk to be removed from your account WITHIN the 4 month consignment period. If you do not want your item to be marked down 50% it is YOUR responsibility to retrieve it BEFORE the 60 day period ends.

Artist (handcrafted items) and high ticket items (antiques or high end jewelry) will consign for 70%(you)/30%(tradewinds) and will not be discounted but we do expect you to retrieve them after 120 days. Claiming credit and retrieving your items is your responsibility.

-Consignment sales are recorded daily so your account should always be up to date. For credit on your account, you may claim up to $10 cash. Anything over $10 will be written in a check. Your credit may also be used in the store towards any of your purchases.

-Any account that remains inactive for 1 year will expire including any remaining credit. It is YOUR responsibility to claim your credit.

-YOUR ITEMS ARE LEFT AT YOUR OWN RISK. We take all possible steps to insure the safety of your belongings, however, we do not take responsiblility for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
