TSTC Cloud and Data Center Management

Thank you for your interest in the new Cloud and Data Center Management (CDM) program here at Texas State Technical College in Waco, TX. The CDM program is a unique program that awards an associate degree in Cloud and Data Center Management!

Aristotle once said, “For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them”; this is certainly true of the world of computing. The faculty in the CDM department designed the curriculum to provide you with real-world, marketable skills by incorporating a heavy focus of hands-on and project-based learning.

We work closely with industry professionals and vendors to ensure you have the skills you need to succeed!

Our program prides itself in teaching you skills such as server maintenance, cloud computing and cloud storage, virtualization, clustering, network storage, software defined networking, network operation center deployment and management, “big data” analytics, high-speed networking, troubleshooting skills, and data center cooling and powering techniques.

In the CDM program, you will be exposed to the heavy hitters of the industry including Dell, HP, IBM, EMC, NetApp, Brocade, Mellanox, Nagios, Solarwinds, VMware, Citrix, Mirantis, Microsoft, and more!

In the cloud realm, we prepare you for a certification in Amazon Web Services and provide instruction in Microsoft Azure (public, private, and hybrid deployments).
