Young Guns at Denton Bible Church

While the Program was started by Tom Nelson almost 30 years ago, the Program is now directed by Charles Stolfus. Charles teaches Systematic Theology and Apologetics and Tom Nelson teaches the Old Testament. We also supplement the Program with contributions from some of the other excellent teachers here at Denton Bible in the areas of Biblical Counseling, Worship and Evangelism.

The Program is designed to deepen the participants’ understanding of the big picture of the Bible from both the Old and New Testaments. They will learn Systematic Theology and Church History. In addition, they will learn how to think critically and coherently on current issues in culture as well as in the Church.

The men commit to a regular systematic program of Bible reading and of at least one book a month to develop their minds to think biblically and theologically on the important issues of our day. They will also be involved in small group accountability and serve in a ministry at Denton Bible or one of our local mission plant churches. (Exceptions to this are made for those who are already engaged in a regular ongoing ministry such as another local church, CRU, Navigators, etc.)
