Zootown Yoga

I am Amy Petrini, owner of Zootown Yoga. I started this business with the dreams of helping children learn to love Yoga and to learn skills such as mindfulness and meditation to use in their every day lives.

I am trained to teach the Kidding Around Yoga program. Kidding Around Yoga is a style of Yoga that was created by Haris Lender, ERYT 500. KAY encompasses the 5 branches of Yoga in a clear engaging method. A typical KAY class gets the children singing, dancing, skipping, marching, jogging, shaking, laughing, hopping, limbo-ing, and storytelling ALL while practicing Yoga to original KAY music. In addition to this training I am a former elementary school teacher with 14 years experience in the classroom. My current position is as a Behavior Specialist at my children's elementary school. As a Behavior Specialist I assist clients with supporting behaviors during the school day with teaching them such things as coping skills. I am enjoying teaching my clients these lifelong skills to assist them with stresses that they may have.

I am a mom of three children, and they have loved joining and assisting me with my classes. They are always begging me to teach them new things and have really encouraged me to start my own business.
